Capital Health Institute has available for its faculty, six individuals. The faculty members are academically and professionally qualified. They are currently licensed as a registered nurse and have a Masters in nursing. Each faculty member has greater than two years of clinical experience as registered nurse and knowledge of nursing practice at the practical nurse level.

 Teaching assignments are based with consideration of the instructor?s major clinical area of concentration. Each faculty member:

  ?        Hold all certificates and ratings that are necessary for the instructor to teach in the field of employment;

SaveCa ?        Have educational background, training, or occupational experience in the specific area of teaching indicating competency to provide instruction that will assist students toward successful achievement of the objectives of the course or program; be limited to instructing only courses covered by demonstrated competency;

Capital Health Institute nursing faculty come from a variety of academic preparations and experiential backgrounds which include: medical-surgical, maternal and child, psychiatric, community and mental health, pediatrics, obstetric, administration (leadership and management), holistic health in nursing, public health, home health administration, the individual and group therapy, gerontological nursing, education, and psychology There is a rich mix of educational preparations among the faculty group. Also, the faculty group represents multiple races, i.e., African, African American, Asian, and Spanish.
